Hi 0two explorer, thanks for your answer. I am really lost and don't know what to do.
The mechanic almost gave up - he tried what he could (changed rear differential, transfer case, checked joints...) and the problem is still there. From the problem description it seems exactly the same issue you had befor.
Now, please explain one thing - as i am not an expert. What does OEM LSD stand for? I know that LSD is the limited slip differential. Is this a part of the differential or the differential itself? Can you maybe send me a link with a picture?

I am trying to help the mechanic understand the issue...and this is already the 3rd mechanic :(((

Thanks a lot!

Your mechanic changed out the transfer case and the rear differential and it is still binding? You sure he didn't just drain and fill fluids? Most (all?) Mounties are AWD or 2WD, not selectible 4WD. What axle code is on your door sticker? Confirm that you have no buttons for 4-Auto, 4-High and 4-Low, and that there is a drive shaft between the transfer case and front differential. Let us know.

HI guys,
yes - the mechanic chnaged both TC and differential (i was there watching). My Mounty is a AWD and i don't have any button for 4-Auto, 4-High, Low etc...
And yes, there is a driveshaft btw. the TC and the differential

Please advise

Thanks

Hello again, the mechanic just called me and told that he found the issue.
He told me that the problem is in the gear box. The drum, gasket and bearings need to be replaced to fix the issue. What do you think? Does it make sense?

It would be great if you could advise

Thanks a lot
