Welcome to the forum bsevic!
It was my understanding that the Blackberry's with the latest OS were some of the better phones for using with MFT, but here is the compatibility chart on
www.syncmyride.com:

And it would seem the BB's are not as compatible as I originally believed, but the list is outdated and I know that Ford and RIM have been working on making the BB's more compatible. Getting the latest OS updates will help.
First off, make sure all the features you want to use are turned on in the phone's settings, I know that some folks have had good luck with that. I don't own a BB, but I have gleaned a good bit of info from prowling these forums.
Here is what I found in the RIM site, the Bold 9650 instruction manual:
Quote:
Set the message types that your Bluetooth enabled car kit notifies you of
To perform this task, your Bluetooth® enabled car kit must support the Message Access Profile (MAP).
For more information about using Bluetooth technology with your car, see the documentation that came with your car.
1. On the Home screen, click the connections area at the top of the screen, or click the Manage Connections icon.
2. Click Bluetooth Connections.
3. Press the (BlackBerry dots) key > MAP Options.
4. Select the check box beside one or more message types.
End Quote
Let me know if that works for you!
Happy Driving.
