Blend Door Actuator

I have a 2002 explorer xls 2wd, can anyone tell me the part # for a motorcraft blend door actuator for my vehicle. The part dept asked me if i have auto controls or manual controls for a/c? What do you think of a Dorman part?

I recommend getting the Motorcraft part as others have had issues with the aftermarket parts. Give the dealer your VIN and they will make sure you get the correct part.

The manual system has dials for adjustment and the auto has a digital readout and buttons for adjustment. I believe the auto also has 2 front actuators, one for each side.

Its 2020 and I just tried a Dorman part as I replaced my Ford Explorer XLT 2002 for the first time. The Dorman that I purchased didn't react to being plugged in and tested. I then purchased an actuator direct from the dealer for about $71 and it works perfectly today.
