blew out reverse in my 96 sport...

I was backing up on a "cheese grater" type road and my rear end hopped then my transmission blew =\. Anyways a automotive friend of mine is gonna help me out and i was wondering if any one had any tips on removing the trans or know of any sites that have some info. Ive got the 5 speed manual trans in my truck and suggestions would be appreciated.

Im sure you're all reading this and shaking you're heads and saying stupid. But me and my friends pulled out my trans and i took it to a shop to get the 3 reverse gears replaced. Im getting the trans back tuesday and hopefully we'll have it back in by friday.

Well I just got my truck back together about 25 minutes ago and drove it around a bit and everything seems to work. The clutch needs some more fluid but it all seems good

It sounds awsome with just the exhaust manifolds hooked up, to bad i have to reconnect the exhaust tomorrow.
