The 4 way flashers work on my 94 xlt, but when i engage a turn signal, the light turns on but just stays solid. Ive replaced the fuse for the blinkers under the dash, along with the blue round flasher module, the round silver flasher module, all three silver box shaped relays in the fuse panel, and I still have this problem. Please help, thanks.

Check for a burnt out blinker bulb.

all the bulbs are brand new as are the fuses and relays inthe fuse panel under the dash.

Are the bulbs the propper number? Maybe blinker fluid low? j/k ;) Check bulb numbers.

My X had this problem when I first got it.

It took me forever to diagnose it.

Wanna know the fix?

okay, you waited long enough.

My 'top' flasher module wasn't plugged in correctly. It was THERE, but installed crooked. It is really easy to install it wrong.

My emergency flashers wouldn't work, and that was the clue that finally led me to look at the flashers.....

It could also be a bad socket. I had my rear driver's side turn signal socket fail due to a broken tab (that contacts the wire on the bulb). Swapped out the socket and everything was fine. After I had the socket out and was inspecting it, the broken tab dropped out.

Hope this helps - Dave.

It could also be the plug in the steering column has gotten un plugged. I had this same problem, caused by the dealership tilting my column up when they had it for service. I got back in and had NO turn signals, but the e-flashers worked. They popped the cover on the column and plugged the connector back together and it worked fine. They said it happens all the time...
