The blinkers (and reverse lights) on my '93 have stopped working. The original owner (my father) has told me they do this to let you know when a bulb burns out, but I've checked all the bulbs and none are dead.

When the brakes are on, the rear bulbs illuminate, but when the blinker is switched on, it kills the brake lights on the respective side. When the headlights are on, all 3 bulbs in the front turn on, switching the blinker on and off does nothing.

I don't know electrical; switches, fuses wires - No clue. So if anybody has an idea, that'd be great.

First thing I would look at is the blinker relay itself. Sounds like it might have died. Its located in the fuse box under the dash. If you hear no clicking and the bulbs are good it may the problem.
If that isnt it, you probably have ground problems somewhere.

Turns out during my recent head gasket change I had left a front blinker wire loose. It had fallen onto the exhaust manifold which melted the covering and caused it to short. Relay was fried alright. Thanks :)
