I've read the other posts on this subject but I have a little twist. The truck is a '98 limited. I had just picked up a trailer, about 1500 lbs., when the lights started blinking as I accelerated. I didn't count the blinks but would guess 6 or 8. They stopped but did it again a couple of more times before I pulled to the side of the road and turned the truck off and then turned it back on. That seemed to clear it up but then it seemed the truck wouldn't go into OD unless I let up on the gas a bit. This may be entirely normal as I rarely (1-2x a year) tow the trailer and don't remember how it behaves. Anyway, I was thinking maybe there was an issue with the trailer and checked the trailer wheels on arrival at my destination 15 miles away. One was ice cold and the other not quite hot but definitely warm, especially at the dust cap. Thing is, the reason the I was picking up the trailer was that I had it serviced and was told the bearings and brakes were fine. After dropping the trailer I drove home 25 miles and no blinking lights. Could the trailer impact this?

PS - Is it better to disengage OD when towing at highway speeds?
