Last week i removed the moldings from the doors, aside from all the blisters i now have from removing the tape everything went smooth. Execept for the paint under the molding on the passenger side door, its blue! I dont know why its there, all the other doors look fine i was wondering if maybe this is some kind of tape or glue they used to put the moulding on. did anyone else have this problem and get the blue off to find the normal car color under it (green for me). If not how much do you think a paint job would be just on that and is there anyway to paint it myself for less as im low on cash. it doesnt need to be perfect looking just something to hold it over untill i get enough money to get it painted at a shop.

damn i was thinking that might have been a problem, it just looks like a shadow untill you get close so ill leave it off for now, guess its time to start saving

I would also say its not original. The ones I have worked on have all been the body color inside and out. Well...except the ones I have painted. They would look like yours (diffrent color under stuff). I bet if you pull the door panel off, the inside will be blue as well.

would anyone know offhand around how much it might cost to get an area like that painted

I'd say around $100 maybe for a quality job to blend it in with the rest of the paint. I don't know, could be more, could be less.
