Body Lift Help

That's a tough one. I got all of mine with vice grips. I'll report back if I think of anything.

Im gonna talk to a buddy that has a welder and have him tack on a nut on the bottom so that I can keep it from twisting. Apparently that's what a lotta the shops do for fords since all their body mounts suck.

Brent - thanks for the tip about the radiator.

Do you have access to air tools?

A small amount. I can't remember everything we have. Cordless impact wrench as well.

I don't think an impact wrench is going to do it but it's worth a shot.

I have read about other guys using that method of welding a nut onto it. Hope that works.

The radiator did suck. It took me a while, but once I figured out all the things holding me up and where, it made so much sense and literally I just slid it into place. I felt stupid for taking as much time on it as I did. Hope today goes better for ya!

Wanna possibly point me in the right direction so it goes smoother? Haha

I can't remember what the solution was. It just kinda happened and it made so much sense then. I wasn't foresighted enough to make notes like Jerry did.

For the radiator drop brackets I had my buddy hold the radiator while I placed the drop brackets in and tightened them. I didn't disconnect any hoses or drain the coolant.

Alright. Thanks again.

Yet another question. I can't get the parking brake cable I clamped from the crimped brackets. Did you guys just bend it out a little or something else. I know it's supposed to move a little in the brackets but I haven't been so lucky

I couldn't get the clip to release so I made a little slit just big enough in the body mount where the E-brake cable goes through.

Sorry, I would've answered earlier but I was outside fabricating, grinding, cutting and welding my Winch bumper on my truck.

With a sawzall?

And no worries. You gotta get that suck bumper done!

I used a sawzall but you can use a grinder too.

I'll have to do that I think then

Just an update... I've got everything done except the front bumper and bed. The parking brake cable is a little tighter than I remember so I've got my fingers crossed it disengages correctly.
Hope to get it done tomorrow as my tires are coming in. :D

Cool, keep up the good work man. It'll be worth it once it's done.

i never reconnected my parking brake cable, never really used it. Hope i never actually need it but i probably will one day i'm sure. The outcome when its all said and done is so worth it and you'll be happy you did it yourself.

Tires are here!! And on the truck.

Went to put the bumper on the new brackets. They make it stick out about 2 inches farther or so than stock and won't allow me to put the bumper cover on. Any ideas on what to do about this?
It's annoying since that and the 4 bed bolts are all that's left.

Quick question. Did you trim and cut the bumper cover and the factory bumper like in the instructions? This is probably what's keeping you from putting the cover back on. The BL bumper brackets don't make the bumper stick out any further than stock, they just raise the bumper up 3" to match the BL.

Looks like u beat me on our race to 33's :) in getting hung up on the $$$ side of things. Looks like I'll be lucky to just get tires this Summer :/ discount tire isn't having any sales like I was banking on and my first couple rent payments are just around the corner.

Looking forward to pics! Hopefully it inspires me to push for all this before winter hits lol
