Hello all. I've gotten a lot of useful information out of this forum long before joining. Bought an Eddy B. 2001 back in 2006 (October). So this fall will make it ten years I've had. Had 65,000 when I bought it, now has 202,000. Been a great rig most of the time I've had it. Gone through four sets of tires, front brakes, rear brakes due now. Had the drive shaft fail about two years ago. Drove 110 miles on the front drive shaft to a junk yard to replace. One thermostat replacement. Alignment done twice. Had the fuel filter pop off once in the desert, dumped most of my fuel out before I realized it. Barely made it to a gas station! Have four chips in the windshield. A friend shot and dinged the radio attena. One or two batteries. The oil pressure gauge usually doesn't work for the first five minutes, been that way for nine years or so. And my current problem with the torque converter clutch that I'm still working on.
Overall, mostly routine or minor problems over the last ten years. Need to change the timing chain soon. That's never been done and is on my list for this summer.
Thanks for every ones technical support on this forum. Answering someones problems usually answers many more who find the knowledge here. I am just an average home mechanic at best. I used to work on Jet aircraft in the military. Every problem I learn something new.
