Borla Header Installation Problem

A friend who is a mechanic is in the process of intalling
Headers on my 91 Explorer. He has the headers on but is having a problem where the headers meet the Y pipe. The diagram that came with the headers show Part # 43620
flared 2.50 inches. He said it's flared about 2 1/8 to 2 1/4
inches and is afraid it going to leak. He said the joint is not fitting correctly. I am going to call
Borla tomorrow. Has anyone run into this problem?

i had problems with the o2 sensor and making the y pipe meet up with my exhaust. If i wanted the y pipe to fit the headers well, it didnt allow enough room to hook up to the exhaust. I ended up just returning them after Borla sent out a second set for me to try. My truck was down for 3 weeks. 3 weeks to long for me. Plus it was tons of work to just have to keep redoing. Borla was helpful, but i spent 420 on the headers and felt that i spent enough money that i didnt have to modify them myself. I sent them back and got a full refund.
