Last week I replaced leaking wheel cylinders in my 93 and bled about 3/4 of a quart of new fluid through all 4 wheels. After bleeding, the truck had good firm pedal for a day or 2, now it seems to go farther to the floor like it was before. I'm not losing fluid that I can see, the level in the resevoir hasnt gone down, yet everytime I bleed the brakes I will have good pedal for a few days then it goes back to soft pedal. Am I not getting all the air out of the lines? Could this be another problem like the booster or mc?

If you have any suggestions let me know, cause theres nothing as scary as having a lifted vehicle with bigger tires and feeling the brake pedal go to the floor when youre trying to stop in traffic.

I'm not a brake expert but if you've bled them out and it still is soft I'd check out the master cylinder. Quick run to the junk yard and slap it in. See if it helps.

If it's not losing fluid, it's probably the master cyl. Junkyard or getting one from someone parting out is an option, but you might want to just go new or rebuilt...or rebuild your own with a kit. Try RockAuto or call your local parts stores and compare prices. You might find a deal.

I can pick one up at work fairly quick.. im gonna do one more bleed job, i never could get much fluid out of the rears, and see if that helps. if not.. new mc. thanks guys.

Are you sure the rear Brake Shoes are adjusted up far enough. That will cause a low pedal Or the need to pump it once
