Brake Drums

I was wondering if anyone had a good sourse for brake drums: The rear drums on my '94 explorer XLT have become warped, and cause quite a squeek and grab that dissipates once the drums heat up The pads look fine, but you can tell where the drum isn't true and round.

Any Suggestions?

Most auto stores like autozone should have them for around $40. I suspect they would be less at rockauto.com, but you need to factor the shipping costs. Of course you can also try a junk yard, but they may not be any better than what you have. Have you tried sanding the drums to see if that helps?

Yea, if by sanding you mean "turning" them...even after they were newly turned, they were still not true. I'll try the site you reccommended...I have a vendetta aginst the local autozone (been screwed by them 1 time too many!)

My friend recommends Advance auto http://www.partsamerica.com. They have free shipping for orders over $50 (or is it $100?).

My question is, what is the difference between a $30 brake drum and an $80 or $100 drum? Are some "better" or is one just paying for the longer warranty? Some drums are warranted fro only 3 months, while others are warranted for 1 or 2 years. I'm mystifyed!
