What if you have ABS??
It doesn't matter as long as you don't get air into the master cylinder.

For hand bleeding, I use a plastic water bottle with a section of 1/4" clear tubing stuffed into a hole in the bottle cap. This hangs off the bleeder screw nicely and allows for easy viewing of the bubbles or clear fluid coming out.

For flushing the system, I have a pressure bleeder. Basically a small garden sprayer that holds almost 1/2 gallon of brake fluid and can pressure up to 15 psi. I can flush the entire system in a couple minutes. One man job with this setup.

Cheapest I saw them now is about $10+ ea depending on where you order them from (Amazon Prime has them for $11.99 ea).
So, for $45-50 for a set, and I still have to open up the system to install them, I'd rather just bleed the system the old-fashion way. But that's just me...
