(I have a 92 EB)Well, I have figured out why my ebrake light and rear anti lock light didnt come on, the bulbs where taken out. Put them back in and they wont shut off. What could be causeing them to stay on. Just did my brakes a month ago. How far is he brake pedal supposed to travel? I can push mine to the floor, it doesnt just fall to the floor but goes there easly. I have to push it all the way there to get full stopping power. What could be causeing it to fall that far? It has to be something to do with the e-brake light being on. I tired to clean the rear abs sensor but i couldn't get the bolt undone, which way does it loosen? Another thing how do I check the codoes for the rear anti lock, I need a special reader, right? Where do I find it, and what is it called? I checked to see if it threw a code for the brake light, by hooking up a volt meter and using the jump wire at the EEC. but just got the same code over and over again, the code was 111 111, iI dont understand it.

Your pedal going to the floor could be caused by several things. You may have air in the system, you might have a bad master cylinder, you might even need to adjust your rear brakes. I had a Mercury Mystique come in at work with the same lights on. It turned out to be a bad connector plug at the ABS motor. I had to replace the motor, controler and the entire under hood main wiring harness to repair it. I would check the connector at the ABS motor, and check for any leaking lines along the frame or at the ABS motor and at the wheels. By the way 111 is a system pass code if you didn't know already.

I took the rear senor out and cleaned it, put it back in and the light was still on. I check the connection at the abs control valve and it was in tight. I toped off the fluid and checked the connections there too. still nothing the lights are still on. Anyone have an idea what this could be?
