I have been having a problem with the E-brake light on the dash. Everytime I hit the brakes then release, the brake light on the dash comes on then turns off. For example, I come up to a red-light and once I let off the brake the light comes on for a few seconds then goes off. it doesn't come on any other times while driving. I had a similar problem with a 4wd Durango and it was the ABS sensor in the hub. Except then the light came on everytime I hit a bump. Any suggestions or has anybody had the same problem?
Thanks,
Matt C

did you check your brakes?
they could be low enough to run the fluid down to trigger the light on and off.

Okay so I finally got a chance to check everything. I changed the pads (not that bad but changed them anyway) and the fluid level is where it should be. Didn't see any leaks or binding of brake lines or anything out of the ordinary.

The light has still come on a few times but I still can't figure it out.

Any ideas?

How can i check the float? Any best practices?
