i tried to search for something on this, but no avail. yesterday this guy pulls up beside me and tells me that my brake lights aren't working. this morning when i left the house and by the time i got to work, i didn't have brake lights again. tail lights work, just not the brake lights. when they work, i can hear the relay kicking. when it's not i don't. could someone please help me here?

so the brake lights work sometimes but not all the time? seems like a loose connector at that point

that's what i'm thinking too, but i don't know where to look

I had that problem, you need to replace your brake light switch. It's on your brake pedal arm and costs about $10.

thanks for the help. i geuss i will go to advance auto and pick one up today. need to get it fixed before i get into a wreck and/or get a ticket

Wimp,

Thanks for the help. I went to Advance Auto, got the switch and popped it in. You were right. The old switch had basically froze up and wasn't doing anything anymore. Only cost me $6. I appreciate it.

Yeah, seems like a dumb little thing until you find out it works. :)

I would never have found that if not for this board.

Yeah, this board's alright....

i'm having the same problems with my 97 Ex only the third brake light works i tried replacing the switch and it still does the same thing, they turn on once in awhile.
