its time for me to replace pads and rotors.
wondering what ya' guys recommend for replacement, pads and rotors.

If you are not hard on the brakes (ie. no towing or aggressive braking), then just go with a good aftermarket standard rotor with the OEM pads. If you are looking to improve on the setup then go with an improved pad like the Hawk truck/suv pad. Lots of discussion around here on recommendations depending on what you want to do so I would use the search feature and then go from there.
I clock 70-100 miles a day everyday so I change the wear parts very often.
I go cheapo when it comes to brakes. Last time I got the whole set of 2 rotors and pads off ebay for $ 80 including shipping for the front. That was few months ago and probably 10k miles ago. All is fine. If I feel any vibration indicating the rotors are warped, I'll just get new rotors again, I stopped cutting them even though I have a set of old ones in the garage. The cost of cutting is to close to the price of new ones.
