Brake Pedal Pulse (not ABS pulse)

Today I had new rotors put on, the calipers reconditioned, wheel cylinders replaced, and all of the springs in the rear drum brake replaced. The brakes used to be very sensetive and now they are much softer but when i apply the brakes I feel a slow pulse. This is not the rapid pulse you feel when the abs activates. Is this normal?

Were the pads replaced at the same time? Usually it's a good idea to do this because the pads can actually "warp" just like the rotor can.
 






You may have two different problems:

1) The pulsating could be caused by the new rotors being warped. It happens alot with new rotors. If they aren't stacked properly from the factory, they will warp.

2) As for the low pedal, you may not have bled the brakes properly. Explorers have a problem with getting air into the proportioning valve, and it is hard as hell to get that air out. I had the same problem. I bled them like 5 times, did a 4 wheel gravity bleed, and it still didn't work. You will probrbaly need to have them professionally bled if you can't get that air out yourself.

I had the pads replaced at the same time (was done at a just brakes shop). I ended up taking it back and they bled the system again and said the pulse will eventually go away as the parts break in.
 






be weary... that warp could also be if they used an impact to tighten the lugs.... improperly tightened/overtorque lugs is the #1 cuase of warped rotors...... we use torque sticks at my work to avoid this
