Hey Explorer owners!! So my dad has a 2003 Ford Explorer 4.0 v6 xls and it has this horrible brake problem. When you brake, the brake pedal jerks along with the whole car and the steering wheel jerks too. We have changed the brake rotors 2x now and also replaced the brake master cylinder and still no luck. There is a rip on the passenger side rear caliper dust boot but I don’t think that’s the problem. I am using Nakamoto Performance Brake rotors along with the auto zone duralast brake pads. Also, (the most confusing part) when you start the car and start driving it, the brakes are perfectly fine And also when it rains the brake is also perfectly fine. Mechanics are confused. Please helpppp! Thanks in advance!!

If it wasn't the brake rotors it is probably the suspension. Jack the front up and do the "wiggle" test (search it on youtube, scotty kilmer and so on have good videos on how to do it).

Would you have a link to it? I can’t find it on YouTube.

First, get rid of those horrible AutoZone brake pads. I've heard nothing but bad things about them. Does the Nakamoto Performance Brake rotors have slots or holes drilled into them. If so, those warp real fast so I would suggest Raybestos parts. That's what I have on mine with no problems.

Yup I am getting the auto zone brake pads outta my car. I need a recommendation on what pads to get? Ceramic or semi-metallic? Or carbon-fiber ceramics. And yes the rotors are drilled and slotted.
