I have a 2001 ST and the dash brake service light stays on. I have changed the front hub and pads and checked and adjusted the rear brakes. I don't get a error code when I put the reader on. What else can I check

fluid level in the brake reservoir

I would try to disconnect the battery for 20min to reset. It may work. Then if it comes back on you will know to keep checking things out

blue is on the right path as my pads wore down my brake light intermittenly came on so i checked and my fluid was just low enough. top that off and i bet you see the light go out

Thanks I did do the things that you suggest (fluid, battery) no good. I'm going to try a different trouble code tester. If anyone thinks of another attack I will try it. Thanks for the help

This might sound obvious but did you check to make sure your parking brake is released completely? If it is check to make sure they are working properly and not seized.

Could be your ABS sensor on the hubs. I had to replace my hud for that reason. Also check the ABS sensor in the diff that will do it to.

thanks to everyone for your response after ALL I did it was a bad parking brake switch, I am an idiot for not thinking of that first but I never set the brake in all the time I have owned the truck
