Brakes and Brake Lights are on

I have a problem with the Brake system in my 03 XLT. I have a question about what looks like a sensor at the very top of the brake pedal. I disconnect and the lights went out, I then jiggled it and the lights blinked. I was wondering if anyone knew the part or the part #? It has two wires coming out of it.

It's a Brake On Off switch (BOO). Does what it sounds like, senses whether the peddle is applied. If you tell the part store that they will know what you mean. It shouldn't be overly expensive.
