Hello, I have a 1998 explorer XLT. I have been having trouble with my brakes lately. The lights come on sometimes, but other times they don't. Fuses are all good. What could it be?

Where?

I looked all around the brake pedal and found no switch. Where is it located? The only other thing close to it was the emergency brake, and I know that's not it.

The arm on the pedal connects to the push-rod on the booster/master cylinder. Between the two is the switch. Check for a loose connection or wire popping out of the connector, and replace the switch if necessary. (it's a $10 part and takes no tools to change)

If it has ben a while since you've had a brake job, check the fluid level!
