I did a bunch of searching and didn't see anything thread wise.

2016 PIU 120k miles and just had a brand new T case installed 2 days ago.

It produces a sound like a muffled 2nd engine above 45 miles per hour that comes from the middle/aft of the car.

Curious if new T cases break in or if it's something to be concerned about.

No lights/warnings. Shifts are butter smooth, later gear shifts (4 or 5?) are a tad late with moderate acceleration at 3000ish rpms. Good acceleration and really mild vibration on deceleration (so mild could have been the road).

Take it back. A new t/case should not growl, make noise, or anything. It is possible that they installed the front driveline 180 out as well.

Rgr that. It's what I expected it was.

Ill bring it back tomorrow. Shame with how otherwise smooth it runs.

Welcome to the Forum.
I'm guessing you are referring to the PTU (Power Transfer Unit)? If working properly, it should not be noticeable at all.

Its not the PTU it's something else. The search continues. Thanks guys!

It might be a long shot, look at the u-joints carefully. You are looking for
what looks like powdered rust around the cup to cross area. If so
u-joints are the problem.
