Break Lights Not Working

My 98 XLT's break lights have all gone out (all three). The fuses seem fine so where else should I look?

Check the actual brake light switch on the brake pedal. That went bad in my buddy's Ranger once.

Is the break light switch also knows as the stoplight switch? They seem to go for less than $10...is this correct?

Yeah.. I know they're really cheap. And really easy to swap. Does your cruise control not work either? Because it seems like his stopped working because it wouldn't automatically kill the cruise when the brake was pressed.. so the whole system would shut off.
