Broke my passenger mirror! ARGH!

Argh - I hit the garage and snapped the glass in half plus broke off two of the pins.

Can you believe this crap, I can't just buy the mirror assembly, I have to buy a whole new friggin' outside mirror for $176. The guys over at my dealer are going to give me 20% off of that, but still - no glass assembly!

I don't have any junk yard around here, so that's not an option to me. Do they make aftermarket ones?

check ebay, and if you find a driver side tell me....i know that they had them about 2 weeks ago for like 50$

Just an idea:

the was a company call "Muth Mirror Systems" that makes the mirrors with the blinking arrown in them for Explorers. I wonder if it's cheaper to buy the mirror (glass) from them - even if you don't hook up the electrics.

Thanks guys - nothing on eBay yet, but I'll keep looking, thanks for that suggestion!

Frank, as for that cool idea for the 'turn signal mirrors' - they cost about $200 for the set. Now, that's only a few dollars more than a single passengar side mirror, however, what happens if I break one of them? I have an email into the company to see what kind of parts they offer. I'll post back when I find out the results.
