Broken 9/0 Button on Keyless Entry Pad

I spent quite a bit disassembling my vehicle searching for the keyless entry pad factory code. After all that, I found out that each button works except for the 9/0 button. Pressing any other button will make the key pad and interior lights turn on.

I have a manual for removing the door panel, but after that I am at a loss. Would I be better off taking my ST to a dealer and having it fixed, or do you guys think I could fix the button or replace it myself.

Take the pad off, check the contacts on the board. See if the circuit board is broken, cracked, etc..?

Do a quick search for "broken door keypads" in this section and in the '95-01 stock Explorer sction.

So I took it apart and looked at it, no cracks or breaks. No dirt, it looked like new. Using an electronic tester, found out that they should all be working. Put it back in, and no luck.

Now it's just a matter of buying a new unit, but after many google searches, nothing was found. Even a search of the mumber listed on the piece came up with nothing. Anyone have an idea of where to get a new unit made for the 01-05 explorer sport trac?

It doesn't need to be "new" just functioning.

Go to the junkyard and pull one off a '95-01 Explorer, '01-03 Eplorer Sport, '97-01 Mountaineer.

You need the keyless lock pad.
