I have just replaced a broken interior door handle (the thing you pull to release the latch, not the thing you pull to close the door
) on my 2000 North Face. I searched the forums here and discovered that these handles break with alarming regularity and I was interested to note that Ford dealers in America sell new handles for approx $14 USD. That's well under a tenner!
So, armed with this info I called into my local Ford parts dept to see what the price is in Rip Off Britain... £19.63 GBP! Not bad at all for Ford UK. What's more, they even had it in stock! (it once took them 3 days to get me a tail light bulb!)
The whole job took about 30 minutes which included the time taken to retrieve the tie rod retaining clip from the far reaches of the door bottom...
An easy fix and nowhere like as expensive as I thought it was going to be
Cheers
