For anybody who has broken one or anybody who will, I found another alternative to the many other fixes. Napa carries a mount, pretty much exact to the original except that its all one piece and just bolts to the existing hole, they also had the same one that auto zone carries with the bushings but this one is better and cheaper (about $3)and it includes everything you need. I'll get the part numbers tomorrow, I have no idea what it is designed for but they had some lying in a box in the corner and they are perfect for this application.

Yes, please do get the part number.. I just snapped the passenger side front lower shock mount this moring.. I'm problably going to get it welded back on (I did that to the drivers side 100k+ miles ago) but I would like to carry one in the truck (throw it in my spare parts box)..

The grade 8 bolts/lock washers I used have held up well.

Part number P-19, $3.69 comes with the mount 4 washers and 2 locknuts.

Any tips on installing this? I bought a set of 2. Seemed like a good product. Had to order online, the part wasn't carried in store. I may replace one of my grade 8 bolts & see how this works. The holes are already drilled out on mine. Are these the same size? Do the holes have to be enlarged? I noticed the nuts have a stopper built in. Will they tighen enough on the RA & shock to not hit the stopper before it's tight? Any installed pics?
Thanks

When you install it make sure you cut/grind the entire old mount off flush with the rest of the radius arm to ensure that you engage the locking threads in the end of the nut. I also used red locktite on mine because I see no reason to remove them I can't tell you if your holes are the right size because grade 8 bolts come in all sizes. My shocks fit nice and snug on the shaft exactly like the stock ones and the bolt will not bottom out on the shaft, in other words it fits perfectly. I have no idea what application this was meant for but it is a perfect fit and definitely better than stock.

the one on my passenger side has been broken for 3 months, i fixed it 'ld50' style. 2 zipties and an EPDM strap. dosen't seem like its going to go anywhere but i'll probably need to get it fixed before november to pass inspection.

The old mount is cut off to the RA already. You have to drill out that hole the stock mount was in. My question is did you have to drill out the hole to widen it or does the new mount fit in the hole as is? All I did was drill out the mount hole & size up a bolt to fit through it. The hole is stock size.
Or did you drill a new hole & then mount this to that?
Thanks

When I cut mine off there was no existing hole, just the ra, I just center punched it drilled a pilot and drilled the final hole, I'll find the drill size I used and post back.

ahh ok. You can drill the mount out. There is a hole there where the stock stud is pressed/welded to the RA. I'll just have to play with it I guess.
