Just an FYI for those of you who may have a button that doesn't work on your door panel. My unlock button quit working on the driver's door (lock still worked). I cleaned the switch and it didn't help. I traced the power in each lead and found a broken wire in the flex joint in the door jamb. (Its the big rubber thing with the bundle of wires going through it in between the door and the body.) It's a pain in the ass to splice a wire in the tight space but it fixed the problem.

yep, a common area of failure because of "wire fatigue" on the driver's side from all the open and close action happening and actually usually affects more than the driver's side of things as wires travel there and back to the master control switch in that door. Glad you were able to fix it and yep a tough area to work in.
