My problem is not moding the brown wire but making my 4wd low work. My transfer case motor went out so I bought a new one and put it on but it didn't have a place to connect the brown wire that is sticking out of my t-case motor. I've tryed connecting it to the brown wire under my driver seat but that didn't help. Now my 4wd high works and 2wd works but i don't hear anything when i put it in 4wd L. Is there another wire that i can connect my brown wire that is on my t-case to to make my 4wd L work.

This may help: my 03 did the same thing, I ask my transmission guy and he said: Stop the truck. Standing still push the 4low button. Let up on the brake and let is move a titch...see if it has engaged... and OMG it did. It seems they do not like to shift into 4 low moving.

iirc, not sure about the 3rd gen, but in every 4wd ive had, you couldnt shift to 4lo on the fly. only 2->4H iirc, and iirc 4lo is engaged in P or N... i tihnk?

I did not know so thought it would shift at a low speed and get what Greenpower ranger was getting 2WD, 4 high but no 4low, as I was moving even slowly, so I shared.

You are supposed to be at a complete stop, standing on the brakes, most people shift into neutral.
