I have a 30 Amp, shiney switch.
You can get fancy and have a lighted switch and all.
The options are endless.

alright, thanks guys, i'm gona be doing this sometime soon, but i got a few other things to do first. I was also reading in a few of the brown wire threads that they recomend 20Amp or 30Amp. But thankx for the info....

Does anyone have any info on a 3 inch body lift for a 99 X. Because I can't find one. Sorry if this is off subject

Check "Performance Accessories" for the body lift, look at the usefull threads area, I think theres a write up on it.

Back to the brown wire mod: I have a switch that has a green led on it to let you know when its on or off. My question is, can I use it for this mod? It has writing on the side with three prongs on the bottom where you connect the wires.
It looks like this OFF ACC ON
prongs-> !_! !_! !_! . is it possible to use this type of switch. can someone let me know how to hook it up?

Yeah, I had a blue one I was gonna use for that but the light was constant not just in the on position like I wanted. Either way I tucked the switch in the center cosnole any way so you can't see it reguardless.

The way that switch works is the ground is shared. Just find something post iginition positve 12v put that in the ACC spot. Then just split the brown wire with off and on.
On means you have all four active, off means you have lifted the ground, ( broken the circuit ) and will only have the rear wheels active.

Hey everyone, is the brown wire a solid brown or does it have a stripe on it? I cant find one under the chair that is only brown, thanks.

found it!!!! It works great, I just tested it. Those tires realy spin now!!!!!

Hey Monmix, I think I figured out what you meant about when the togle is set to on I have all 4 wheels active. I drove the truck around last night for a while and it seems that when the togle is on, 4high is always on, I can actualy here it and the axles bind when I turn real tight. Is there a way around this or did I just loose the ability to use auto? Right now the togle is off so im in 2 wheel, so I dont break anything. Im gonna go mess with it and check back later today, thanks. KP

I think the problem is fixed, I flipped the wires and it seems to go back to auto now.

Yeah, knowing which position is which makes a world of differance.
A simple continunity check did the trick for me.
