Brush Guard Lights

I put my lights on my brush guard and have all the wiring sitting in my garage. I need a few questions answered so I can hook my lights up.
1st-I have a 98 xlt, where do i thread the wire through the fire wall. i am hooking the wire up to a toggle switch that I put on the trim of my aftermarket headunit. 2nd how do i hook up my wire to the battery. 3rd where should I ground the wires i need to ground. 4th how do I run the wire aropund my engine so that it dosnt interfear with anything.

1. Either the hole that the hood latch cable goes through or a gromet that a clutch would go through. Either works.
2. Take the bolt out of the positive side of the battery clamp and put it through the terminal end and replace it in the clamp & tighten back up.
3. Grounding can either be done at the battery negative terminal or there is a ground screw for the headlights on the body at the front and right of the radiator. Its visiable when you take the plastic cover off that covers the headlights & grill opening. It has the lift up (to replace headlights) flaps. There is 4 10mm bolts along the top & a couple of plastic pop-out thingies.
4. Get some 3/8" wire loom at WalMart/Meijers/PepBoys/ect. to cover the wires as they go through the headlight opening by the battery and go down to the firewall where they go into the cabin. All wires will be in front of the radiator, behind the grill and on the battery/drivers side as they go to the firewall.
You may want to get some 1/4" wire loom to protect the wires from each light untill they all come together and you need the larger 3/8" to enclose them. Also tape the ends of the wire loom. Not only does the wire loom protect the wires from getting the insulation rubbed off it looks better and therefore makes you feel better about the install.

great that answers everything i really need to know. is there any other ways to thread the wire through the fire wall because i want it to goto my radio. the clutch wire seems far away. sorry i havent ben able to get to the comp i just got power back. we had a huge ice strom!

Either the hole that the hood latch release cable goes through or the clutch gromet are within 18" to 24" of the radio. Thats pretty close.
