if its anything like mine, which it looks the same except mine doesnt have chrome on it. you are going to need the mounts. the brush guard doesnt mount just to the frame. the mounts use the existing holes in the frame as well as the outside bumper mount hole.

Can you post a few pics for me so I can get an idea of what I have to make for mounts
I have the plastic bumper so I figured ill have to cut a couple holes in it

Ok cool thanks
your arms don't look as long as mine maybe it's just the pic
Tho

yeah sorry about the pics, saw your post and ran outside to snap a quick pic before it got to dark, so they were taken with my cell phone. the arms on min seem to curl up to meet the mount, and end with a blunt point you can kinda see that on the drivers side pic. the guard i have i got from a junkyard of a 97 sport, so to be honest i dont even know what brand it is. it shouldnt be to hard to make a mount tho, just use elongated, holes that way you can adjust the brush guard to fit where you want it.

Mine if I stick it in the bumper the arms go back to the hole already in my frame I did it alone so I really couldn't hold it up and crawl under the truck to see if it lines up ill have to have someone gimme a hand one day thanks for the pics the they will help

sorry trying to polish a turd here, but i outlined the mount and the brush guard, red is the mount, yellow is the guard, and blue is the bolt holes which shows how the holes are elongated. the red part at top is a 90 degree bend that bolts to the bumper bolt.

Lmao I appreciate it ill have to see what I got Layin around to make up some brackets an that's the shiniest turd I've seen

thanks for the compliment lol good luck hopefully you get lucky and it does bolt up to the frame. yeah def a two man job that guard is a heavy mother.. especially laying on you back..

Tomorrow if you don't mind post a pick of ur X unless you have a link I can go to

yeah not a problem. ill get some front shots, im planning on doing the fuel filter and air filter so ill hopefully ill be able to get some better shots

Excellent thanks
I'd like to see a shot of your gauges

haha always wanted to post a progress of my truck, but never had a real reason till now. where abouts in jersey are you? theres a few Junkyards by me that are full of X's waiting to give up good parts

I'm northern in bloomingdale it's Passaic county
I'm originally from pa and always go to Harry's u pull it its the largest junk yard in the world today I seem at least 40 X's and 20 mountys most in tack utallwerissi g the top of the enter console I was getting frustrated so have up on it for today at least
You should def start your own thread once I did I was instantly hooked on the X

ive always wantd to go there, i would pass the sign for it on the north east extension, on my way up to dallas Pa, ps pics are coming a little later.

It's the greatest place on earth lol I've been going there since the late 90s soon as I was old enough they always have your vehicle and usually you can find the same color too for body parts I built an entire car practically from there you should defiantly stop in one day you just need an I'd and its $2 admission they search all your stuff before you enter and before you leave too

yeah might have to do that, ive been looking for a manual transfercase for a long time now and all i see in the first gen Xs and Rangers are electric...
