Hope I'm posting in the right section. Newbie here!
Have the opportunity to get a front brush and tail light guards but they are from a 97 four door. Mine is a 01 two door. I'd have to drive a good ways to get them but didn't want to bother if they won't fit. The lady that has them says the measurement from mount to mount (or bolt hole to bolt hole) is appox. 31" and from to end is appox. 66" if this helps. I had her look for a part number or something but she couln't find any. Thanks!

I would think it should. The 97 and the 01 frame should be the same. It didn't change till 02.

It should fit but i believe you might need to modify the bumper a little bit. I sold a brush guard for a 98 explorer to a guy with a 2000 ex and i know he said he had to take the bumper off in order to use it. But i imagine you could cut some slits or something in the bumper and it should then fit.

Lines in the front are different and tails are different too, so it might look funny...

Front clip is different. The bumper is more pronounced on a 99-01. Tailights and rear hatch are completely different. They're gonna look kinda retarded imo

The frame will be the same but an '01 sport has the different front end, It wont fit without a lot of work.

Tail lights are quite a bit different too. They are bigger at the bottom to fit with the body lines. Again, no it wont fit without a lot of work.

Thanks guys. Guess I'll let them pass. If anyone else needs them they are on the Greensboro NC Craigslist under auto parts.

I was able to put a brush guard from a 96 on my Son's 99. It wasn't a perfect fit but after a little ingenuity, it was installed and looks good. Plus I only paid $50 for it.

The only problem you would have run into is a different bumper.

The '01 sport (which he asked about) is a different totally front end.
