So, I changed to fuel filter and cleaned the throttle body of the gunk it accumulated the other day. It had a P0193 code for high input fuel pressure sensor prior to that. Reset the computer while I had the battery disconnected during the filter change. Obviously, the light went out and was out until this afternoon.

On the way to work, the engine light came back on and that thing started surging bad to the point of dying. Got it restarted and it was worse. Coasted the truck as far as I could and then pulled over. Tried to restart it multiple times and it seemed like the gas pedal was unresponsive so it would start and immediately die. Pushed on the tps and throttle connections and tried again. It started back up and I was able to get to work.

I haven't had a chance to rerun diagnostics yet, so not sure what code is thrown, but the question is, has anyone else had that issue before and if so, what could be the cause?

I'm gonna take a shot in the dark with this. I did some research on the TPS and several of the symptoms of a failing one match the things happening on the truck. So, I broke down and bought a replacement TPS and gonna throw it on tomorrow and hope it works.

Little update.....changed the TPS today. Also broke a screw in the throttle body when I took the old TPS off so, it is only held on with one screw for now until I can hopefully drill and tap it out. Took it for a drive and no bucking yet....yet. It started last time right around 10-15 miles in and I'm not able to test drive it much today. Gonna shoot for more tomorrow. Here's hoping that fixed it (though I'm very pessimistic about it).

It's been a while since i got on here and i believe i actually fixed the problem. It had the code for the fuel pressure sensor high output? i think thats the one, i can't remember. Anyway, i replaced the sensor back in May and outside of a rough idle, it hasn't bucked, no check engine light, and it hasn't died at a stop light since then.

Thanks for the updates. I don't have this problem but I'm sure it'll help somebody that does.
