Bull bars

Anyone know where I can get a set of bull bars for my 97 explorer?

if you can weld some brackets, the a frame from a Landrover discovery is a good fit, or you can wait an age for an explorer one.

That's a nice idea, so, the actual bull bar is from a disco, yes? (what series?) then you just weld on the necessary brackets yes?

Disco 2. the bar os from Symbar, bought it on ebay for £30. there are (or were) loads of them, the size and shape is good for the A Bar but i don't think the full wrap around ones would fit

The brackets were fabricated in 25mm angle, two come up straignt from the bar at 45deg and bolt on to the chassis rail behind the bumber (don't need to take the bumber off) I think these are the normal holes for the OEM bar.

The second set of brackets are attached to the end of the bar at each end and again go to the chassis rail either side of the radiator. Solid!

if you compare the two pictures you will see my Landrover one goes under the front and the pucka explorer one does not

Mine were second hand off ebay and were advertised as coming off a Land Rover. Don't know which model though.

Ay up Paul. I honestly cant remember where I got it from. There is one on ebay, number 180529708717. I got mine from England though.
www.formula4x4.co.uk have got a nice shaped one.
Mine took alot of work with a heat gun to bend it to the shape of the Explorer roof.
