Bulldog remote start

Yea, the tech guy wrote in his email " You should have bought the 1100 model." Too back you can't ***** slap over email.

I bought the rs85 so I could use the factory remote.
I checked out my wife's 4Runner, thinking I could install it on hers and get the 1100 for me. It works the same way, no remote once the vehicle starts.:(

Does the 4runner have power door locks? If so you can use the factory remote to unlock the doors then start it up and get the 1100 for you X.

One last thing doesn't work - When I start the car remotely (with factory Ford or Bulldog), the factory remote is then inoperable.

On page 16 of the manual it states that it wont work if the engine is running. I think it is under the Pit-Stop section

Quick Question.

Well my remote start works but. . . . .

I used the wire harness and now when I start the X there is a strange noise coming from under the truck. It quits when I actually start the truck but not until then.

Also the blower motor does not work. Anyone know what I need to do to fix those problems.

I think that is your starter still turning.
The instructions are wrong, the online instructions fix the error. The yellow/black is switched with the white/black on the module.

Well son of a biscuit! I guess I have to take the dash apart AGAIN. Good thing is at least this time it wont take so long.

Now did anyone ever figure out how to use the factory remote when the vehicle is running?
