I want to get my explorer to do burnouts, but whenever i hold down the brake and give it full gas it just pushes forward..ive done burnouts in a ton of different trucks and cars...i thought maybe i might be able to take a fuse out for the abs or traction control..my truck doesnt have a button for traction control in it..does anyone know what fuse i can pull out or anything i should do to get it to burn out..its a 2000 sport with 4x4 and its a 4.0 l 6 cylinder sohc

It's not burnout friendly, you can do the "brown wire mod" and it will do burnouts, but it's very hard on the transfer case and it will die if your doing burnouts on any kind of a regular basis. When wheel slippage is detected it will engage the front driveshaft to prevent it, so that's why you can't do it now.

Welcome to this forum! This is good for the older vehicles that had big engines, transmissions, and no computers. You are going to ruin your transmission, transfer case, and differential if you do this.

welcome

yeah.one of my friends said there was sensors on all four tires and then one main control for the traction control and abs..and he said he took his off through the main control and that it made it really easy to burnout.. it doesnt really bother me not being able to..i would just like to be able to when my friends are jokin my truck and callin it the exploder haha

yeah i probably wont then..yeah from what i understand...the transmission in my explorer..and i think just about all of them is apparently too small for the truck..lots of my mechanic friends said that ford didnt put a big enough transmission in there which is why they die so easy .. yeah i'll probably just do all my drifting and burnouts in my friends mustang haha
