I purchased Seals, Gaskets, bearings, Fork, and Collar, I plan on rebuilding my TC tomorrow morning. I spent the last 2 weeks reading up and educating myself how to do it, and I'm still nervous yet excited to begin.

I have some questions for anyone who has completed this task before.

1. How many Work hours did it take to complete?
2. Is there any special tools you used, or wish you had to make the job easier?
3. Is there any part of the rebuild that you would put an emphasis on? "Don't screw this part up!"

I hope to get some good replies before I begin!

1. How many Work hours did it take to complete?:
If its your first time, expect a weekend just to make sure (including removal and installation). But once you get used to it, you can probably rebuild one in a few hours.

2. Is there any special tools you used, or wish you had to make the job easier?:
I think bearings are going to be the biggest problems because some of them are pressed in against the housing and you dont have good access to the other side (to use a punch for example).

3. Is there any part of the rebuild that you would put an emphasis on? "Don't screw this part up!":
Aligning the shift rail/rod - break the tiny pin on one end during removal or installation and you'll need a new one.
