im looking to get air ajustable air shocks for the rear of my explorer... my frame sits .5 inches over the axle, makes for a very bumpy ride... so im looking to run a set up that i can fill, and empty the shock chamber from the driver's seat. so while im driving i can lift the back up just a bit to lessen the rough ride... ( i know get airbags ) that wont be untill the end of summer. so untill then im looking for a cheap ghetto way of adjusting ride height in the rear.... i have a tank and shcks.. just not sure how to run lines,,, or what to use to open or fill from the tanks.... just not really sure what to do.. if someone could point me in the direction, or have done sumthing like it.... i would love the input..... THANKS GUY'S

Is your truck lowered to begin with?

Air shocks are designed to support the weight of the vehicle, but the shock mounts on both the frams and axle are not. I would not use air shocks. Air bags mounted between the spring perch on the axle and the frame itself are a decent setup, but again, the frame in that area is not designed to be supporting the vehicle's weight. Those loads are meant to be borne by the frame where the springs mount to it.

IMHO, air shocks are a waste of money anyways....
