I'm in need of a new air filter and I thought doing it my self would be easy.

I ran into a screw that won't come out of the cover. All it does is spin in place.

After a while I felt around and noticed that there is a little round piece of plastic (like the size of a nut) that spins with the screw on the underside of the cover. So it's almost like I need a pair of pliers to hold the plastic while I turn the screw. Only thing is it's not in a place where I can get a pair of pliers.

Anyone ever run into this? If so, how can I get that screw out of there so I can replace the filter?

Thanks for any kind of help.

Shove a small flat blade screw driver between the top and bottom half of the airbox, near where the stuck screw is..

Now, while using the screw driver to put slight pressure between the 2 halves of the box, turn the screw... it will come out that way (at least it did for us)..
