Trying to replace my Cabin Air Filter in my 2021 Explorer Limited but cannot find the replacement anywhere. Even the Ford OEM part stores do not have this part number in their systems. The filter in the car is Ford part LX6A-18D483-FA If you search this part anywhare it does not exhist. I have attached a photo I took of the filter just to show I'm not crazy. Anyone else have this issue? When searching the OEM part number it shows part LX6Z-19N619-CA. This filter does not have the same dimensions as the one in the car. Any help would be appreciated.

So the Ford dealership couldn't help? They didn't offer to find it for you?

Will be calling in the morning. Just spent time trying to get both the cabin and air filter online. Don't understand why this part is nonexistent? Tried to get one at our local auto parts store (AutoZone) and they do not have anything in their system either.

That is strange. I remember how difficult it was to get one several years ago for my 2015 Sport. Not to mention getting the darn thing to come out! I broke off some plastic tabs. Was this easy to remove?

Interesting. This doesn't fit my 22 ST-line. Oh, well, I'll have to do some more research when the time comes.

Thanks all, I have checked all the part numbers mentioned in the above answers and they have different dimensions than the one in my car. I also checked my manual and the one identified for the 2.3L is the FP-89 as Sea_Ray mentioned. I have not been able to find the dimensions online for this filter but since the manual says this is the one to use, I will order and hope it fits.

What I would do is, go to the vendor forum and message Benny@LevittownFord with your VIN and ask him what the filter part that comes up. He can also give your the shipping discount code.

Honestly though, I'd be surprised if 2020-2023 Ford Explorers/Aviators had different sized cabin air filters. If you don't insert them just right, they may protrude a little but if you finesse it, it should just stick out a little past the edge. The cover has a little cavity to cover the rest.

If it were me, I'd remove the old one and forget about it...they're not really necessary, unless you're Little Lord Fauntleroy.

Sea_Ray, thanks for the response but the one in your link does not match the dimensions of the one installed in car. The one in car measures approx. 10 7/8" x 8 7/8" x 1 3/4". Not sure if the 1/4" shorter in height would make a difference?

As long as it's an FP89 filter replacement, it doesn't matter if it's OEM or aftermarket. I've tried 3 of them and they all fit. I think you are obsessing over your "approx" measurements for no good reason.

I just replaced mine in my '21 Limited. It is a Motorcraft FA1884.
