...I was by Disneyland and there was a big mushroom cloud...I thought it was Yorba Linda again...Thank goodness for low wind tonight..:(

...Now if someone could just turn the big a/c on this week...:D
 






ah...no gonna be in the 100's this week in the valleys:( However it's been a really cool summer so far. Luckly it's 10* cooler at my house then the valley;)
 












Weather forcast is calling for a high of 101* with 12% RH, so it'll probably start getting active again by noon.

NWS is also calling for a Red Flag warning from 9am today until 9pm friday...
 












Passed the Azusa fire today on the 10 and it looked pretty big still:thumbdwn:

Funny thing is it was the same temp out in the desert today and when I got to LA I was expecting somewhat cooler temps but no dice:rolleyes:
 












at 11am it's already 100* here :eek: It's going to be a hot one today!!!
 












I took some pics, I'll have to post them up later. Basicly we have has the DC-10 water droppers and the Sikorsky helicoptors flying back and forth over my place all day. Now that night has fallen, the fire is starting to crest the Mtn top, and you can see the flames at the top of the Mtn. The smoke has given us a red moon and there is ash everywhere:(
 






...Time to get up wind...The air must suck up there...:fart:...There was ashes falling by Knotts Berry Farm this a.m...

...I'm not sure how close it is to the golf course but, that road is where I did 2 different jobs this year...(Just to the right of Angeles Crest)...

Rancho Palos Verdes Fire

Rancho Palos Verdes (myFOXla.com) - A fire is burning homes near Ocean Trails Drive and Palos Verdes Drive in Rancho Palos Verdes.

The fire was reported just before 8 p.m. near the Trump National Golf Club, said Captain Mike Brown of the Los Angeles County Fire Department.

Homes and structures are threatened. No word on official evacuations

It's got a long ways to go to get to us (about 5 miles), besides it would be on the north side, and there are a lot of house between the bottom of the hill side and us. The worry come that "if" it gets to us, then embers could catch the hill side behind us on fire. They did install a emergency sprinkler switch for the hillside a few week ago though. We have also discused a "what if" sanario, and thought a liilte about what we do. I already told the the wife we load up the Ex and 150 and the volvo gets put to the street, and hope for the best.

As far as the air, it's terrible:fart: we're just keeping inside with all the widows shut and the Central A/C on. That and Saturday we're going to cruise up to Santa Barbara to...... get away from the air....yeah that it;)

:fire: That fire just is just a few hundred yards from my sister's house. That's where Rachel and I evacuated to during the fires up here in Arrowhead.

...I hope her house is safe from this fire...They say the crews fighting there worked all afternoon on the big fire...This weekend is going to be more of the same from what they are predicting...
