Once a month I have to remove caliper pins on my 2000 explorer and claean and recoat with lube actually gave up on that and now using antiseize.
What happens when Iam just about at a complete stop I get sqeaking sound and pedal pulsating like a out of round rotor.
So once a month i pull them and do the above. and it goes away . Trying to do some kind of tracking to get idea why i have to do them so often and Iam almost starting to believe in heavy rains when i drive thru deep water it maybe getting washed out.
Now to make it even better i never had this problem till a guy at the garage replaced hub bearings and when i got it back it had that noise and I was told it was the bushings and within time it would go away. BS . This only happens at the drivers side front all others good.
Getting a lil frustarted with the once a month lubing of pins and mating surfaces in caliper area .
Any ideas may be helpful at this point

Are the rubber boots on the slider pins still in good shape or are they allowing the lube to escape?

Are you using the Ford Silicone lube or some other type of lube?

Are the rotors actually out of spec? Have you checked with a dial indicator?

I think the rotor is the real issue here. Perhaps just taking it apart and lubbing the pins ect, masks' it briefly, but the real problem, a defect in the rotor surface is being over looked. Thats why it keeps coming back, your never really fixing the underlying issue.
