I just got a 5.5 Superlift suspesion lift installed on my 92 explorer 4 dr. I'm now going fin for an alignment and need to know if I can use my stock camber bushings? The alignment shop told me I have to buy new ones for a 5.5 lift ...the stock ones won't do the job. Each bushing is $25 and to install per side is $52 bucks. Plus a $44 alignment!
OUCH. $250 bucks! So can I use the stock ones or will I develop problems doen the road?

Suffering from sticker shock! HELP!

I just got my 5.5" kit aligned recently. They had to use 3 degree (the maximum) bushings to get it back to "normal" thanks to those 133 springs. By the way, my alignment was only about $150, sounds like you might be getting ripped off!

I still have my stock ones in. Its a MAJOR problem for me though. My tires look like this right now /-\ Seriously! They ride on the inside edge most of the time. Someday I might pop the cash for the camber bushings but I am saving the money for other things right now.

The shop told me they put in new camber bushings when I had the 6in coiled installed, replacing the 4in coils...The thing drives straight as anyone could ever get it with boggers(nearly impossible to align w/ these tires) and it only cost me 150

Guys

I got the 133 coils too! They told me since I never had my stock cambers changed/and have a 8 year old truck...they are more likely to be rusted to the housing unit. They will have to chisel them out and install new ones which can take up to an hour for each-$52 a side.
Where do you live? Maybe it's cheaper in your state. This shop is in MD. Did they have any problems removing your stock ones? That seems to be the justification for the labor $$
