I am Curious. From my days in the shop they were usually a round slug with the hole off center.
I was looking at the Mountaineer today, and it has som kind of eccentric that has a couple flat spots on it? I was thinking the stock non adjustable setup was a square plate. Is this correct? I am wondering if maybe my rig has an aftermarket eccentric in it?
Thanks for your input!

Thanks that helps!
Now is there only two per side? Mine looks like it has two of the square plates, and two of the Cams on each side.

Good illustration there Warform. Now I understand how this thing work. My alignment shop guy said that if he trimmed the bolts he could give me a bit more camber on my truck. I see now how that could happen. Thanks. :)

Thanks for the pix Warform

Couldn't figure out how they did this with the whole arm unit as a replacable item. Going to try this on my 97. Home alignment, the last fronteer. Need something new to try after transmissions.

I'm looking at the other thread, and I can't seem to figure out how the cams work. Can anyone explain it to me?

By the position of the cams, it allows the control arm to be in toward the engine, or out away from the engine, as the bolts holding it move. This gives you the camber adjsutment.

So do they only have two per side?

That's what I was thinking. So then that means where the bolt mounts it has a slotted hole right?

Yes, there are two cams each side.

Hmm.. In looking at my Mounty, it has them on the inboard mounts (bolt head side) and it looks to have the factory square pieces on the outboard (nut side) mounts. I am thinking I need to put some on the outers too.
Thanks again for the info !
