how do you remove/install the camshaft bearings in the ohv if there is no access besides the front and rear of the motor where the camshaft slides in?!

They are removed and installed via the same hole the camshaft goes in. from the front of the engine. There are special tools for removing and installing the cam bearings.

Take it to a machine shop and get them to install.

I have a universal cam bearing tool I was trying to stay out of the machine shop unless it's necessary it just not like most other engines so I'm wondering if the universal tool will work or not

Ok figured it out the bearings should be installed from the front of block sliding the rear bearing in first and work your way back to the front the oil holes don't really matter because the factory bearings were all offset and all the holes are at 6 o'clock in the block there is an oil channel that runs around the bearing this is why you don't have to worry about this you can't really see in the block anyway the bearings go from small to big from rear to front so all bearings will be installed from front the only tricky part is getting the front and last bearing installed because you don't have the guide cone on the tool anymore so they have to be installed with really pure skill that comes from experience so I messed up and bearing and cost $30 for another set I could of had it done professionally at a shop for 50 so if I were to do it over I'd take it to a machine shop and let them do what they do best I hope this helps this helps someone in the future because this is definitely no ordinary set up for cam bearing installation
