how do you replace after its already removed tried haynes but no luck. the post i read didn't help

i just did one of these. i am guessing you have a ohv v6? if that is the case, pull the spark plug on the passengers side closest to the rad. have one person put there finger over the hole, and turn the motor clockwise until it wants to push what ever digit they have covering the hole. you are now are at TDC on the #1 cylinder. to make sure you are there, put a screwdriver in the hole and "rock" the motor and watch to make sure the piston is all the way at the top. now take your new sensor. using the cam tool provided, insert it into the sensor hole. it may not go down all the way, but it should be close. you should be able to feel it mesh with the gears on the cam. if it dose not line up the oil pump drive, simply turn the motor until it wants to drop in. IIRC, the plug part should be around 11-12 oclock position facing the firewall. start it, but dont gun it. it may run a little rough for the first min or two, but it will clear up. thats how i did mine.
