Camshaft sensor relearn

Hi

Replaced camshaft sensor and heard that it need to relearn?
Does Relearn means PCM reset?
like in that vid

yes or just disconnect battery for 10 min
 






You don't need an alligator clip to drain the PCM like the video shows. Just remove both terminals and touch them together for about 1-2 minutes.

you have to do that? on my 98 i just unplug fo a while and it seems like it relearns.
 






You don't have to but it speeds the process up a lot and it insures the PCM is drained of power.
 






Camshaft sensor relearn?never heard about

It is a simple Hall effect sensor.usually they are simple plug and play device
